2025 Safety Statement

Greater Bridgeport Pride is a place to welcome one another, to celebrate and advocate for the progress of our local LGBTQIA+ community. We are committed to creating and providing a safe, accepting and accessible environment as we gather in family and community June 21.

GBP organizers are in communication with safety professionals in the private sector, as well as city and state offices. From volunteers to safety captains, sensory-friendly accommodations to first aid, water stations to cooldown areas, we are working to establish comprehensive protocols and response plans to keep attendees safe.

Sensitive to an emotional environment centering marginalized communities, Greater Bridgeport Pride will not tolerate threatening, violent, harassing, or offensive behavior against organizers, volunteers, vendors, artists, performers or participants. We kindly request that guests do NOT engage any protestors outside our event and inform a GBP staff member, volunteer or safety captain of any safety concerns on the festival grounds.

Greater Bridgeport Pride encourages and allows service dogs, blankets, lawn/camp chairs, strollers (including wagons), umbrellas, mobility aids, and water bottles (no alcohol from off premises). Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Thank you for helping us ensure the security and enjoyment of all attendees and for everyone to be treated with courtesy and respect.
